- BuzzFeed has hired Hayes Brown as foreign news editor and reporter. Brown comes to the site from ThinkProgress, where he most recently served as editor of its World vertical. Before joining ThinkProgress he served as a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security. Brown starts October 6.
- Gordon Lubold and Marcus Weisgerber are joining Defense One. Lubold comes to the site from Foreign Policy and Weisberger joins from Defense News.
